SCHOOL AND YOUTH RAFTING PACKAGES

Your rafting adventure will start at our base camp located just off the Upper Red Deer River, Alberta's most popular whitewater rafting river. The water you will be experiencing is Class 2 - 4 rapids. Our season runs everyday from the May long weekend until the Labour Day long weekend (Sept). Remember NON-SWIMMERS are welcome.

All our trips include a certified whitewater rafting guide per raft and all safety gear. Wetsuit, lifejacket, helmet, paddling jacket, fleece, wet shoes and gloves are provided for each rafter. Please see our Suggested & Recommended List for other articles to bring to make your trip more enjoyable.

Mukwah Tours will customize the right experience for your Physical Education class, 4-H club, or youth group.

Three School Packages are available. Our ½ Day (The Sampler) and Full Day (The Full Jaunty) packages both include hot lunch. Barbecued hotdogs or hamburgers for dinner is available for an additional fee. Overnight camping is also available. Our School and Youth Packages are available Monday to Thursday only.

Our regular "Whitewater Rafting Package" offers your choice of ½ day (2½ hrs - "The Sampler") or full day (4½ hrs - "The Full Jaunty") rafting. Raft the exciting rapids of the Upper Red Deer River, where every 'hit' in the waves through the rapids is a soaking experience. Run through rapids with names like Big Rock, Gooseberry, S Bends, The Nationals, Rock Garden, and Sauna Hole. Then head back to camp to enjoy the hot tub, sauna, fire pit, camping, and barbecue supper to tell the tales of the day's adventures.
