Whitewater rafting is a very safe sport under the most experienced supervision. If you've never experienced the thrill of whitewater a whitewater adventure, Mukwah is the best place to start. We have very experienced guides and staff who are committed to making your first time the beginning of an annual tradition.

Here's a list of our most frequently asked questions (FAQ's).

Do I have to paddle?
Although your guide will steer the raft, some paddling is generally done by participants on our whitewater trips. Intermediate and advanced raft trips require more strenuous paddling to help navigate the boat through the currents and river channels.

Do kids get to paddle?
You must be taller than the paddle in order to use one.

What if it rains on the day of my trip?
Our trips leave regardless of weather. We go rain, shine, or snow. We suggest that you prepare for the worst and hope for the best - plus, "you're goint to get wet anyway!!"

How many people can fit in one boat?
Each boat can carry 6 - 8 people and a guide.

Can I wear my sunglasses on the trip?
You can wear your sunglasses on the trip but they do occasionally come off. As a precaution you should use a sunglasses retainer.

Whitewater rafting is a very safe sport under the most experienced supervision. Can I bring my camera/video camera on the trip?
You may bring a small waterproof camera on the raft, but remember that you will be holding a paddle with both hands.

Can I take my dog on the raft with me?
For safety reasons and everyone's enjoyment, we do not allow dogs on trips.

How big do I have to be to go on a trip?
Our various raft trips have different participant restrictions and size requirements. Check with our staff for more information.

Will I see wildlife on the trip?
You may occasionally be able to see white-tailed deer, osprey, moose, bears, elk, or perhaps a bald eagle diving for its lunch. That's all up to the animals.

What about tipping?
If you had a great trip and want to thank your guide, you are welcome to leave a gratuity with them.
